Self Installation Information

During the current exceptional circumstances relating to the Covid-19 pandemic, we have heard from our customers that on site (at home) visits, especially for the elderly and the vulnerable, may cause some concern.


We have listened to requests from customers and families and we are pleased to offer a Self-Install option for the Basic Package and Falls Package.  Unfortunately, Out & About Package, Smoke Detector Package and KeySafe will not be available for self-install at this time, as these require manual installation to ensure that the devices are firmly fixed to an appropriate wall or ceiling.


Our onsite installation remains available for any customer who wants support from our trained engineers.   Please be assured that our engineers have the highest hygiene standards, they will be wearing disposable gloves and will regularly use hand gel to reduce risks to customers.


We will continue to do our best to offer our usual high level of service, although we may not always be able to meet our typical installation times due to the current situation.  Customers will be kept fully updated by our administration team at all times.

Key things to know about Self-Install:

  • Orders can be placed as usual, either online or via the phone. Once an order is received, one of our team will contact you to discuss installation options.
  • During this Covid-19 period, all orders will be delivered by Royal Mail 1st class. Royal Mail will attempt to maintain their usual standard delivery service levels, however, this may be subject to change. Our administration team will keep customers updated if there is a change to the service.
  • If you have opted for Self-Install, the equipment will arrive pre-programmed and will simply need to be connected. You will then need to make a test call to the monitoring centre to confirm that set up is complete.
  • Full instructions will be included with the equipment and will also be available online (see below).
  • The installation process is very straightforward, but should you experience any problems, our team are available over the phone to offer help and advice.
  • A troubleshooting sheet will be included with the installation guide. 
  • All customers opting for the Self-Install option will be contacted by our team to ensure that installation has been fully completed.  We will also make sure that you are happy that the equipment is working as it should be. We will call between 5-10 days after expected delivery of the equipment.
  • Once the current uncertainty passes, we will provide an “optimisation” visit free of charge, if requested by you. During this onsite visit, our Telecare Advisor will ensure that the equipment is set up to provide the best possible support.
